The hugely popular FPS game, set in the fictional Himalayas in the exotic land of India, will be full with female characters, according to reports.

Alex Hutchinson, director of Far Cry 4, said in an interview with Outside Xbox saying that the presence of women will be dominant in the game, with two of the four antagonists being females. It has also been decided that the leader of the rebel faction will be a woman, along with many of the rebels fighting with player characters.

Ubisoft Montreal, the developer of the game, has stated that the company was close to having a playable female character in the game’s co-op mode but the idea was put to bed due to a “workload issue” with the company. Previously, he had stated another reason for this possibility being due to the lack of female animations from the development team.

On being asked whether Pagan Min would remain as the main character, Alex Hutchinson kept mum about the issue, adding that this issue doesn’t really matter as the protagonist and antagonist know each other.

The game, featuring Ajay Ghale as the playable character, will take place in the midst of a civil war in Kryatt and will also include the conversion of elephants into suicide bombers, who will be able to plant explosives on any surface following a C4 upgrade. Players will also be allowed to kill and skin these elephants, who will have no upgrades. Another novelty that players will enjoy will be cutting of the brakes of the vehicle, fitting explosives in it and sending it downhill.

The game is scheduled to be released on November 18, 2014 across various platforms including PS4, Xbox One,PS3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows.
