Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc shared a series of pictures of his maternal older half-brother Lorenzo Leclerc's wedding on social media. The Monegasque driver made his debut in the sport in 2018, with his older brother playing a significant role in his career.
Lorenzo, who is nine years older than the Ferrari driver, was best friends with former F1 driver Jules Bianchi, who also became Charles Leclerc's godfather and helped him get associated with Nicholas Todt, Bianchi's manager and son of former Ferrari manager Jean Todt.
The 36-year-old runs a startup company called ALL-TIME and prefers to stay away from the limelight, and is rarely spotted supporting his younger brother in the F1 paddock. He tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Dr. Charlotte Di Pietro, who is a dentist by profession, in Monaco.
On his official social media platform, Charles Leclerc shared a series of pictures featuring his older brother from the ceremony, which went viral and has attracted over 2.3m likes in less than 24 hours. He wrote in the caption:
"A beautiful day we’ll forever remember"
On the racing side, Charles Leclerc has been consistent over the past couple of races and scored back-to-back podium finishes in Monaco and Barcelona, and closed the gap to George Russell, sitting in fourth in the Drivers' standings.
Charles Leclerc comments on his resurgence in the 2025 season
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc stated that he was pleased by his successive podium finishes but was not "over the moon" by the results due to SF-25's performances in the first half of the season.
Speaking with RacingNews365, the eight-time F1 race winner said in Spain:
“It's not like I'm over the moon for a second or third place, but it still feels good because coming to the weekend, I did not expect that, but so I didn't last week as well in Monaco. I think, though in Monaco, the disappointment was big because in FP1, FP2, FP3, we were very strong. It was not the case here. So, we weren’t strong in FP1, FP2, FP3 or qualifying.
"But I knew I had sacrificed quali in order to be strong in the race, and it seems to have paid off - with a little bit of luck as well - that gave us the podium. So on that, it [the Spain podium] is a good surprise. And I’m very happy about our weekend, but I’m not happy about our overall performance. And on that, we need to do a step soon.”
Leclerc has scored three podiums in nine races and two Sprints in the 2025 season and sits on 94 points and trails Russell by 16 points with the flyaway race in Canada this weekend.
