Is Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull Racing’s next star driver?

Red Bull Racing team is all set to announce Sebastian Vettel‘s teammate for 2014 at Spa Francorchamps ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix next weekend. As per latest reports from the German Magazine Sport Bild, Australian Daniel Ricciardo is set to replace Mark Webber at Red Bull next year.

Red Bull team Principal Christian Horner has stated that it was going to be either Ricciardo or Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen who take the seat and now it looks like the youngster has got the opportunity.

According to the German magazine, the team has not denied reports of them signing Ricciardo.

Red Bull driver advisor Helmut Marko has said, “We won’t say anything before Spa – that’s all I can say”.

Reports also suggest that Ferrari have offered Kimi Raikkonen a seat at Ferrari next year. Raikkonen is one of the few star drivers without a seat for next year.

Mark Webber will be leaving the sport at the end of this season to join Porsche’s revived LMP1 Programme. It won’t be long before we have official news from the team.
