Real Madrid v Galatasaray - UEFA Champions League Quarter Final

Real Madrid are offering Argentinian striker Gonzalo Higuain for sale and have circulated word of his availability to all top European clubs.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has already inquired about the availability of Higuain has been quoted a price of £22 million by the Los Blancos for the 25 year old.

Arsenal have valued Higuain at around £18m, but Madrid are keen on pushing the price a bit higher.

Wenger is looking forward to strengthening his strike-force this summer, and talks with Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic is evident, but the Gunners face competition from Italian giants Juventus, who are also looking to land the Montenegrin striker.

Higuain, who currently earns £120,000-a-week at Real, has been in good form for both club and country, but has fallen out of favour at Real, enforcing his sale.

It would indeed be a huge coup if Arsenal could land a player Manchester City tried so hard and failed to sign last summer.

Higuain’s representatives are open to a move to the Premier League, but Arsenal know very well that they stand a chance to land the French born striker only if they can qualify for the Champions League .
