Arturo Vidal: “Anyone would love to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.”

Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has been a Manchester United target throughout this transfer window, and the Chilean has now confirmed his interest to play for one of the big teams in the Premier League.

In an interview with Chilean newspaper La Tercera, the 27-year-old said, “I've heard about the rumours, but I haven't spoken more about this subject.”

He continued, “I'm enjoying my holidays, and when I return to Italy I'll see what happens. I'm very calm, but anyone would love to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.”

Manchester United has already secured the signatures of Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw, and have been heavily linked with the central midfielder, with a bid over £30 million plus winger out-of-favour winger Nani already placed according to reports in both Italy and England.

When asked about his Chilean team-mate Alexis Sanchez whose transfer to Arsenal was recently confirmed, Vidal said, “I am happy for him, he needed to take a step like this and at Arsenal he will be able to do things very well.”

Vidal was in Chile, attending a match between his old club, Colo-Colo and Olimpia game taking place on the Chilean TV channel Chilevision.
