Cristiano Ronaldo makes Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang's son happy by offering his jersey

Aubameyang’s son is a big admirer of Ronaldo

It comes as no surprise that Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has a massive fan following around the globe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s son is one die hard fan among them. After a run of two back to back disappointing league games, the Portuguese finally found the back of the net against Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park to give Real Madrid the lead.

But it didn't last long as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equalised for the Westfalenstadion just before half time. Both the goalscorers then swapped shirts at the end of the match and Aubameyang's handed Ronaldo’s jersey to his son Curtys who was delighted to hold his idol's mud stained jersey. The 2015 African Player of the Year took to Instagram to his Instagram account to thank the 31-year-old for his shirt.

“You’ve made my son happy,” Aubameyang said on Instagram

The defending Champions League winners almost came close to grabbing all three points with Rafael Varane's tap in before substitute Andre Schurrle spoiled the party for the Los Blancos with a rocket 87th-minute strike.

Aubameyang was the leading spearhead for Dortmund last year, scoring 39 goals in all competitions last season. The Gabonese striker was linked with a summer move to the Bernabeu but decided to stay with Thomas Tuchel for another promising season. The former AC Milan winger has also admitted his dream to play for Real Madrid.

"My childhood dream was to play for Real Madrid," he said in a recent interview with L'Equipe.

"I promised my grandfather, who was from Avila some 110 kilometers away from Madrid, that I would play there. I realise that it will not be easy, but is always in the back of my mind."

The tie now sees Borussia Dortmund sit on top of group F just above Real Madrid on goal difference, thanks to the 6-0 thrashing of Legia Warsaw. The second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on December 7 will once again be an interesting contest when both these sides face off. The Yellow Wall now face Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon back to back in the European competition, while Real Madrid Madrid host Legia Warsaw at the Bernabeu.

French boss Zinedine Zidane will now turn his attention to the game against Eibar on Saturday while Dortmund travel away to face Chicharito’s Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
