Didier Drogba is no longer able to don the Chelsea jersey and terrorise the Arsenal defence. However, he is certainly up for some banter as he rained on Theo Walcott’s celebrations after scoring on a social networking platform. Theo Walcott scored the 2nd goal of the game as Arsenal dominated the game at the Emirates Stadium.

The former Blues forward was often a bane for Arsenal and has scored an incredible 15 goals in 16 matches in the London derby for his Stamford Bridge side. As Chelsea fell to a humiliating 0-3 loss against the age-old rivals, Drogba could only watch the game.

Arsenal had managed to win against their Premier League rivals, Chelsea, only once in the last five years. In 2011, Cesc Fabregas captained the Emirates-based side to a famous victory that time around. However, he highlighted Antonio Conte’s team’s poor performance while ridiculing Walcott’s over the top celebrations. The Ivorian congratulated the English winger before cooling Walcott saying that it was easy for the mice to dance since the cats were not present.

Arsenal’s pacy forward, Walcott, has had a good start to the season and expressed his joy by posting a picture of him celebrating after his goal, with the eventual scoreline as the caption. Shots were fired when Drogba gave a fitting reply to Walcott.

During the Gunner’s pre-season tour in the United States, Drogba came up against his old enemies and managed to find the net for MLS All-Stars. His team, however, went on to suffer a 3-1 defeat at the hand of the mighty opponents.

Arsene Wenger, who completed two decades as the Arsenal manager, has reflected on Theo Walcott’s return to form. He believes that an improved attitude has certainly helped the Englishman’s revival to form after a disastrous last 18 months.

The Frenchman said, “I believe the change in Walcott is his attitude this season. He's ready to fight, to commit, and you know straight away he gets the crowd behind him. A Theo Walcott of that stature is a completely different player.”

Arsenal face Burnley in the next Premier League game week and they should look to continue the momentum while Chelsea should look to regain some lost ground when they visit newly-promoted Hull City.
