Didier Drogba has been forced to withdraw his name from the players playing the Match Against Poverty in St. Etienne after the Chelsea striker had picked up an ankle injury during their 1-0 win over Manchester United last weekend. The 37-year-old has led Chelsea to wins against QPR and Manchester United after both Diego Costa and Loic Remy were ruled out.

Drogba was set to take part in the charity match that was held in France in aid of Ebola support. However, the Ivorian striker took to Twitter to announce his withdrawal from the match.

Taking the historical rivalry between Chelsea and Arsenal into account, it was understandable when an Arsenal supporter wanted to outsmart Drogba with a not-so-smart tweet by accusing him of faking the injury to drop out of the match. But, Drogba being Drogba, put the fan into his place with a facetious response.
