Eden Hazard can be the world's best player, says former Chelsea defender

Eden Hazard has 8 Premier League and 2 Champions League Man of the Match awards to his name this season.

Former Chelsea defender Paulo Ferreira is among them who firmly believe that Eden Hazard has the ability to reach Cristiano Ronaldo’s level in future.

Ferreira, who has made 214 appearances for the Blues while winning the 13 trophies for the club including the Premier League, the F. A. Cup, the Champions league and the Europa League, insisted that Eden Hazard is on the right path to becoming the best player in the world.

"They are different players in my opinion but if he keeps doing like he's doing he has a good chance to reach that level as well," Ferreira told talkSPORT in an exclusive interview.

"I'm very pleased to have a player like him. This is the type of player you need in the squad, doing very well in every game and helping the team," he added. "He's a talented player and he can decide games."

With 17 goals and 10 assists so far in the season that saw him get nominated for both the PFA Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year without any state of surprise for anyone, the 24-year-old Belgian has gone on to become a vital force in Chelsea’s quest for conquering England for the first time since 2009-10 season.
