Former Dinamo Zagreb defender and coach, Josip Kuze, died of leukaemia on Sunday, aged 60, the club said.

Kuze played for Dinamo Zagreb 384 times when Croatia was still part of the former Yugoslavia.

He coached the club twice — from 1989 to 1991 — and in the 2005-2006 season when they won national title.

Kuze also coached Rwanda in 2007-2008 and Albania from 2009 to 2011, as well as several clubs in Australia, Germany, Japan and China.

His last assignment was in 2012 for Chinese club, Tianjin Teda.
