Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur came away with a point each in a pulsating North London Derby that ended 1-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday night.

Nacer Chadli got on the score sheet for the Lillywhites before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain equalized for the Gunners.

Although Arsenal had a majority of the possession (69%), they weren’t able to do much in the final third. Meanwhile, Spurs were content to sit back and try and counter. But they too did not make use of the opportunities when they stole the ball and had man advantage.

Arsenal 0-1 Tottenham: Chadli (56’)

Tottenham opened the scoring when Christian Eriksen put pressure on Mathieu Flamini and stole the ball. Erik Lamela ran through the middle to collect the loose ball and feed Chadli who was unmarked in the box. As Szczesny tried to block his shot, Chadli rolled it into the far left corner to score.

As the Gunners pressed for a equalizer, Flamini received a pass at the edge of the box from Alexis Sanchez and sent in a low cross. But Oxlade-Chamberlain was behind him at the edge of the six-yard box to fire it into the top corner.
