It was very refreshing for supporters all over the world to see their favourite stars on the pitch yet again as several legends including the likes of Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, Frank De Boer, Clarence Seedorf, David Trezeguet and Fabian Barthez were on show during the 12th Annual Match against Poverty.

A fundraiser by the United Nations for Ebola affected countries to boost their recovery programmes, the match was played on Monday in France as Saint-Etienne beat Ronaldo, Zidane and Friends with a 9-7 scoreline despite a hat-trick from the Brazilian Ronaldo.

Of all the three goals scored by the former Real Madrid striker, it was his third goal that was the pick of the night as he linked up with his ex-teammate Zinedine Zidane, slotting the ball into the lower right corner following a pass-exchanges with the French maestro.

Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was playing for his former side Saint-Etienne, grabbed the second hat trick of the night.
