Agent of Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, Jorge Mendes feels that the Portuguese is the best manager of all time, even better that legendary Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson. The 51-year-old made a return to England for a second stint at Chelsea last year and helped the Blues finish third in the Premier League. They have been on a roll this season, winning 14 out of their 19 matches that they have played so far and are currently on top of the table with 46 points.
"Jose is the best coach in the world. In fact, he is the best coach ever," Mendes said. "He is only 52-years-old. Nobody else, in my opinion, has won so many trophies in such a period of time,” he added.
"The closest (second to Mourinho) is Sir Alex Ferguson, who is a great example for everybody in football. He is like a father, not just for me but for Jose and for Cristiano [Ronaldo] as well," the 48-year-old said.
Mendes won the Agent of the year award for a fifth consecutive time at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai on Monday.
Earlier, Mourinho had said that if West Ham United finish in the top four in the Premier League, then Hammers manager Sam Allardyce should be given the manager of the season award.
