Juventus thrash Fiorentina 3-0 in second leg to reach Coppa Italia final 4-2 on aggregate

Rome, April 8 (IANS) Juventus overcame a first-leg deficit to reach the Italian Cup final with a 3-0 win at Fiorentina on Tuesday, advancing 4-2 on aggregate.

The Italian Serie A leaders remain in the race to win their first Cup in 20 years, thus keeping alive their hopes of securing a treble.

Alessandro Matri, playing in place of the injured Carlos Tevez, put Juventus ahead from close range midway through the first half and Roberto Pereyra doubled the lead just before halftime by knocking in a rebound, reports Xinhua.

Leonardo Bonucci capped the victory with a volley inside the near post following a corner in the 59th minute.

Napoli hosts Lazio in the second leg of the other semi-final on Wednesday following a 1-1 draw in the opening leg. The final will be played in Rome on June 7. Juventus are slated to win their fourth straight Serie A title and face Monaco in the Champions League quarter-finals.
