Lucas Moura pushing for Liverpool move

According to the Metro, Liverpool have now emerged as the preferred destination for Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura in the January transfer window. The Brazilian has been angling for a move away from the French capital for quite some time now after falling down the pecking order following the arrival of Neymar and Kylian M'Bappe.

Moura joined the club in 2013 and has managed to score 45 goals in 228 appearances for the club. However, the 25-year-old has hardly featured for the Ligue 1 giants this season and is yet to make a single start for the club in the 2017/18 campaign so far.

The Brazilian is clearly looking for regular first-team football ahead of the World Cup in Russia this year and it is believed that PSG will not be standing in his way if a reasonable offer arrives anytime now.

Manchester United were one of the big names who has expressed their interest in Moura but it is now being reported that Jurgen Klopp wants to steal a march on the Red Devils in the race for the talented winger.

A few months ago, Moura commented on the speculations regarding his future by saying, "I am concentrating on improving my physical performance. Whatever the situation with the national team, that is Tite’s decision. I need to concentrate on improving at PSG."

"The season began in a difficult way for me, but my aim is to win back my starting place and the great moments that I had last year," he added.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly willing to listen to offers between £35-40 million for the player.

Liverpool keeping tabs on Christian Pulisic

Pulisic is attracting interest from Liverpool

Liverpool have reportedly identified Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic as a primary target, according to various reports today. The American is one of the most highly rated youngsters in Europe and there have been persistent rumours about what the future has in store for him.

Pulisic has nailed down a position for himself in the first team after rising through the ranks at Signal Iduna Park over the years.

If reports are to be believed, it is now understood that Liverpool's American owners want to make the Pennsylvania-born star their marquee signing and believes that a deal can go through considering Jurgen Klopp's connections with the Bundesliga outfit.

Klopp is clearly an admirer of the young sensation and had this to say after calling him up to the first team during his tenure with the club, “We were missing his position and that’s why we called him up. He did a good job."

"Pulisic is part of that generation. He’s a great footballer, an attacking midfielder. He can kick the ball around really well. And in a very intense training session with narrow spaces, he did not stand out in a negative way. This is a real sign of quality," Klopp added.

Pulisic was named USA Men’s National Team’s Player of the Year by US Soccer in 2017 and signed an extension with Dortmund last January to tie him to the Bundesliga club until 2020, in a bid to lure away interest from a number of big clubs including Liverpool.

Reds in talks with Kevin Strootman

According to reports in England, Liverpool are expected to initiate talks with Kevin Strootman and AS Roma for a possible transfer that could happen in January.

Jurgen Klopp is on the lookout for a midfielder in the current window following the departure of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona and with Emre Can looking likely to move on a free transfer in the summer.

Liverpool are yet to make an official bid for the Dutchman but it looks imminent after it was understood last summer that Roma are willing to let the player go in a bid to try and bring Juan Cuadrado to the Stadio Olimpico, but the move failed to materialise as they could not strike a deal with Juventus.

Strootman was linked strongly to the Premier League with a move to Louis van Gaal's Manchester United back in 2014 but it seems like he will have to wait for a little while longer if he wants to start kicking it around in Merseyside.
