Suarez's amazing piece of unselfishness sets up Messi goal in Barcelona's 3-1 victory over Granada

Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi celebrate Barcelona’s third goal against Granada

Luis Suarez scored one and created two goals as Barcelona cut the gap at the top with La Liga leaders Real Madrid after tonight’s 3-1 victory at Granada. Ivan Rakitic and Lionel Messi scored for Barcelona, while Rico Castro scored from the penalty spot for the home team.

The most heartwarming moment in the match came in the lead-up to the third Barcelona goal – Suarez, despite finding an inviting open net after dribbling past the keeper, set up Messi, who had only to tap in one of the easiest goals of his career.

As the Argentine and the Uruguayan embraced, the Granada defence could only helplessly ruminate on the simplicity of the brilliant move which had just flummoxed them.
