Manchester City talisman Sergio Aguero could be sidelined for upto 2 months

Manchester City v Arsenal - Premier League

In a massive blow dealt to the Premier League giants Manchester City, star striker Sergio Aguero could be out for up to 2 months with a calf injury. Aguero limped off in the nine goal thriller against Arsenal at the weekend, much to the horror of the home fans.

The Argentine has been in sublime form so far this season, scoring 24 goals in just 27 appearances in all competitions. He has been the club’s ‘go-to’ man, and has formed a lethal partnership with fellow forward Alvaro Negredo.

When asked about the duration of time Aguero could be out for, Manuel Pellegrini was uncertain to say the least.

“It is very difficult. The doctor has said he has at least one month or eight weeks. We will see.” he said.

“I don’t how many weeks but it will be at least one month. It is very difficult to know at this moment how many weeks it can be.” he added.

This comes at a very tricky time for Manuel Pellegrini and Manchester City, as they play four matches in the Premier League in quick succession over the busy festive period, which could all but decide race for the title.
