Turin (Italy), Aug 30 (IANS) Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart travelled to Italy on Tuesday to undergo medical tests to join Italian football side Torino on loan.

The Italian club reached an agreement with Man City to sign Hart, who was not included in the plans of the English club's new Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, reports Efe.

Torino will pay about 60 percent of Hart's salary at Manchester City, which is 4.2 million euros ($4.6 million), according to local media reports.

Hart, who was a regular starter with Man City for the past six seasons, became third choice goalkeeper behind Chilean Claudio Bravo who just arrived from FC Barcelona, and Argentine Willy Caballero.

The England goalkeeper will be a starter at Torino and will fight with his new team-mates to occupy a position that secures a place to compete in the European championships.
