The Chosen One banner put for sale on E-bay

The first thing Manchester United supporters did when the club announced David Moyes as the successor to Sir Alex Ferguson was to install a banner which referred to Moyes as “The Chosen One”.

Now with Moyes having been sacked, the banner will definitely be removed from the stadium, but its destination is still a big question. Interestingly, the banner has been put up for sale on e-bay, and has received a reported 109 bids so far.

Although it may not be the official banner, its current going rate is £100,100.00, and the bids are rising by the minute.

An excerpt from the product description reads:

David Moyes “Chosen One” Banner.

One previous owner, well used, highly sought after and will soon be a relic. Please be aware that this is in fact, second hand and I will accept no returns as this is sold as seen.

The Chosen One banner itself has had a troubled past. Many angry supporters had been of the opinion that the banner should be taken down as United’s season under Moyes wasn’t going to plan and at one point of time, the banner had to be guarded by stewards.
