This could be Manchester United's new away kit

Images of Manchester United’s away strip for the upcoming season has been leaked on the internet, the Manchester Evening News reported. The new Adidas kits are set to be revealed in two weeks time at its official unveiling, but the new pictures provide a glimpse of what to expect when United’s away jersey hit the stores.

The Old Trafford club’s jersey from the 2015-16 season will be manufactured by Adidas bringing to an end a thirteen-year association between their arch rivals Nike and United. Images of the proposed kits have been doing the rounds online ever since Adidas penned a 10-year contract worth £750-million last year. The release of the away kit pictures come hot on the heels of the home ones which were leaked only two days ago.

Alleged pictures of the away kit featured first in November 2014, but the new ones are very far off from that design.

United enthusiasts have been quick to point out that the new one has a striking resemblance to the one worn by United in the 1990 FA Cup final against Crystal Palace. Adidas was sponsoring the United kits at the time, a 10 year spell which ran between 1982 and 1990. The white and red ensemble has impressed the United fans it seems, if intital social media reactions are to be believed.

Whether the images released are the ones we will get to see in a fortnight’s time is not certain, but the United players will have to wait till August 1 when the deal with Adidas comes into effect.

The summer signings at Old Trafford so far have been presented with the Nike jersey itself and they will be wearing the same on their four pre-season matches in the United States as well. The opening fixture of the 2015/16 Barclays Premier League season against Tottenham Hotspur will be the United’s first competitive fixture in the new Adidas kits.
