Modric to leave the Galacticos?

Croatian midfielder, Luka Modric, may be all set to make his exit from the La Liga after failing to shine with the Galacticos. Real had been tracking Modric`s progress for a while before finally swooping down and signing him from Tottenham for a sizeable £33million, and Mourinho would surely loath losing the 27 year old. The signing of the former Tottenham player was voted the worst Spanish signing of the season last month.

Modric was an absolute star in the Spurs line-up, but sadly he has failed to show his worth with the Spanish club. With superstars like Xabi Alonso and Mezut Ozil to compete against for a spot on the team, it has not really been smooth sailing for Modric.

The Premier League`s big teams are on red alert and ready to sign the midfielder, should he consider a move back to England. City manager, Roberto Mancini, has once mentioned his admiration for Modric. Although Modric may not be signed now, he maybe leaving the Bernabeu in the summer.

Modric said: “This is Real Madrid, I know the huge media pressure on transfers. I’m not looking for an alibi, I’m not that guy, but it’s very demanding to adjust to a huge club like Real Madrid. I have had a number of solid performances, I failed in some but overall I proved I can offer something.“
