Daryl Janmaat is expected to make his move to Newcastle United permanent later today after the Magpies agreed on a fee of around £6m with Dutch side Feyenoord.

According to reports, the Dutch World Cup star has already agreed personal terms with Newcastle. Rob Jansen, the player’s agent believes that the right-back is only a medical away from being a toon.

Janmaat was expected to sign on the dotted lines in the North-East on Monday, but the transfer was delayed as a result of the player suffering from illness.

The move will also speed up Mathieu Debuchy’s long pending transfer saga to the Emirates. Mike Ashley has so far been reluctant to let Debuchy go unless a worthy back-up was not roped in at St. James’ Park.

Now with Janmaat set to sign on a six year deal with Newcastle, Debuchy will soon be able to make his much anticipated move to the Emirates.

Janmaat will be Alan Pardew’s fifth summer signing of the season joining Ayoze Perez, Jack Colback, Siem de Jong and Remy Cabella in the black and white.
