British television personality and loudmouth Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has claimed that he unofficially tried to lure Chelsea's John Terry on joining his ex-teammate Petr Cech at Arsenal. Morgan’s efforts fell by the wayside as Blues captain Terry rejected his unofficial request outright.

Terry has claimed that he could never see himself play for another Premier League team other than Chelsea. The 34-year-old has also expressed his admiration for Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, admitting that he is his favourite manager and he would throw himself under a bus for the Portuguese. Piers Morgan made a cheeky attempt by claiming that Mourinho does not love him anymore.

“I couldn’t do that. I could never play for another Premier League club.” Terry said in an interview with Guardian Football Weekly.

“Jose is the best manager I’ve ever had. I would chuck myself under the bus for him”.

Here’s a tweet about Piers Morgan’s conversation with John Terry.

The Blues have seen their former players like Frank Lampard and Petr Cech join their rival clubs. But Chelsea fans will be happy with their captain’s loyalty to the club.

Is John Terry out of favour at Stamford Bridge?

John Terry has made a disastrous start to his season and is now facing uncertainty about his place in the starting lineup. Rumors have been circling that Mourinho no longer addresses his captain on the training ground, as 101 Great Goals reports.

The Chelsea captain was subbed in their team’s defeat at Manchester City – Mourinho had never subbed Terry in a match before and the Portuguese tactician explained his decision to take out JT for ‘tactical reasons’.

To add more to English centre-back’ s misery, he was shown a red card in the second half at the Hawthorns when he took down West Brom’s Salomon Rondon at the edge of the penalty box. However, Chelsea managed to hold on to a 3-2 win away at the final whistle.
