Liverpool are reportedly interested in moves for Swansea City pair Wilfried Bony and Ben Davies. The Daily Mail report that both men are interesting Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, who is looking to bulk his squad out ahead of Liverpool’s return to the Champions League.

Sky Sports are also reporting news of Liverpool’s interest in Bony, claiming that they are stepping up their interest. Bony would replace Luis Suarez up front, with the Uruguay forward on the brink of a £75 million move to Barcelona. Twenty-five-year-old Bony scored 16 league goals for Swansea last season, in addition to four assists, and netted twice for the Ivory Coast at the World Cup.

The Mail believe that a move would be for a fee in the region of £20 million and that Swansea have lined up Watford’s Troy Deeney as a replacement.

They also believe that Liverpool are keen on 21-year-old Davies to solve their problem left-back position. Jose Enrique missed most of last season through injury, while Aly Cissokho flattered to deceive, leaving right-back Jon Flanagan to fill in for much of the year. Davies played 34 times for Swansea, scoring two league goals.

The Reds may face competition, however, as both Bony and Davies are reportedly major targets for Spurs.

More recent reports suggest Liverpool now have the upper hand, with the Daily Star claiming that Bony’s representatives are currently discussing personal terms with the Anfield club, though a fee is yet to be agreed with Swansea.
