Manchester United could offer Mason Greenwood plus cash to sign Brazilian star - Reports

According to Gazettaitalia's Giovanni Albanese, Manchester United could offer Italian giants Juventus Mason Greenwood plus cash for Geison Bremer. The young Englishman has rediscovered his form on loan at Getafe and could be an interesting bonus in a deal for the Brazilian.

The Red Devils need defensive reinforcements after a poor season that has seen them concede 48 goals in 32 games. United are currently seventh in the league table with a negative goal difference. The Juventus defender might be the key to helping the Old Trafford outfit lock up shop defensively and perform better next season.

Greenwood was once considered one of the brightest young prospects in football, but his recent legal troubles have made a move necessary. While a return to the Manchester United dressing room seems unlikely, a move to Italy could suit all parties.

The Englishman has continued to show glimpses of his ability despite his 18-month layoff due to legal trouble. Greenwood has bagged eight goals and five assists in 29 games across competitions for 10th-place Getafe and looks to be one of their better players.

The Red Devils will hope they can strike a deal for the defender as soon as possible with the €15 million-rated Englishman as a makeweight.

Manchester United still in the race for Serhou Guirassy: Reports

According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United remain keen on signing Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy in the summer. The Stuttgart striker has been in phenomenal form this campaign with 27 goals to his name.

The Red Devils require attacking reinforcements and the striker could be the man to bring in more firepower to their side. Manchester United were reportedly keen to bring in the French-born striker during the winter break. However, financial constraints and AFCON made a move unfeasible at the time.

The Old Trafford side will have to contend with another Premier League side in West Ham United for Guirassy's signature in the summer. While The Red Devils have a higher profile in the game, they sit level on points with the Hammers and could miss out on European football next season.

With Anthony Martial set to leave the club in the summer, a new striker to offer competition to Rasmus Hojlund will be key next season. Manchester United will hope that the opportunity to bring in the €40 million rated striker has not passed.
