Chelsea are considering a summer move for Bayern Munich forward Mario Gotze, who is apparently unhappy, according to the Metro.

Gotze only joined Bayern Munich from Borussia Dortmund last summer for a fee in the region of £30 million.

This comes after, according to reports, Chelsea have agreed a deal for Diego Costa.

It was felt badly by the Dortmund fans as the move was announced during the season and in the run up to the Champions League final, which Bayern won 2-1 at Wembley Stadium.

However, Gotze’s move has not turned out the way he planned. Despite winning the Bundesliga in record time and reaching the German Cup final as well as the Champions League semi-finals, the young German star is unhappy at his lack of playing time.

Chelsea could seize on this opportunity and test the waters in Bavaria with an offer for Gotze, who is a proven star.

“Of course I’m not happy,” he said to the German press.

“I want to win back the trust of the coach to play more.”

Gotze was a target for Jose Mourinho during his time at Real Madrid, and with the Blues looking at creative reinforcements, he is ready to make an offer.

Arsenal and Napoli are also keen on the Germany international.

Gotze has started 19 Bundesliga matches this season, creating 35 chances.
