According to reports this morning, Brendan Rogers is looking to sign Petr Cech on loan until the end of the season as he has identified our number two as the man he needs to solve Liverpool's goalkeeping problems!
First and foremost, I think this is rubbish. How many times has Jose Mourinho stated on record that he wants to keep both our keepers? The fact that despite their poor start to the season, Liverpool are considered as one of our rivals for the top four so I would be surprised if he decided to allow him to move there (if the report is true).
On the flip side, these reports state that Mourinho would consider the move as Cech could play his part against our rivals by playing for Liverpool but he would not be allowed to play against Chelsea.
You look at Liverpool and the problems they have had this season and they ARE crying out for a new Goalkeeper because of the mistakes Mignolet has been making. They are not scoring enough goals but cannot stop conceding which is costing them dearly.
