Brazilian football club Sao Paulo are in talks to sign Napoli goalkeeper Rafael Cabral on loan, according to the former Brazil international's agent.

Rafael, who joined Napoli on a five-year deal in 2013, has fallen out of favour with the Italian Serie A club and is currently the third-choice keeper behind Pepe Reina and Gabriel, reports Xinhua.

"We have been working, eyeing the European market and we are looking at some possibilities involving good team," Rafael's agent Paulo Affonso was quoted as saying by Brazilian portal Sambafoot on Saturday.

"He will leave, probably on loan, with a purchase price fixed."

According to Affonso, the former Santos stopper last year received offers from clubs in Spain, England and Belgium.

He said the 25-year-old, who has been capped three times for Brazil's national team, is also being sought be a number of Brazilian clubs, including Sao Paulo.

"When you talk about Sao Paulo, which is a great club, we always listen and are interested to see if there is a possibility," Affonso said.

"This move may allow Rafael to return to the national team, which is his goal. I've had several enquiries from Brazilian clubs, not just Sao Paulo."
