Bengaluru Football Club were brilliant today as they completely dominated the DEFENDING AFC CUP Champions and sailed through 4-2 on aggregate (3-1 on the night).
That was a truly historic victory! An Indian club enters the AFC CUP FINAL for the FIRST TIME EVER!How fitting that it was Sunil Chettri's majesty that got them there! Vineeth, Lyngdoh, Rubio, Anto - everyone did their bit for Bengaluru Football Club as did the super crowd. This has been A FANTASTIC NIGHT for Indian Football, and Twitter exploded with pride!
The crowd truly was EPIC!!
The always awesome West Block Blues, East Block, North, South – it didn’t really matter as the entire stadium got together to cheer their heroes.
This game has united India like only sport can. Just that, in this case, it is because of FOOTBALL! and not cricket – what a euphoric feeling as an Indian football fan.
