Roberto Di Matteo lifts the trophy in celebration after their victory in the UEFA Champions League Final with Chelsea.

After taking up the role of managing Chelsea following Andre Villas-Boas’ sacking, Roberto Di Matteo reached benchmarks that perhaps no other interim manager had achieved before. Di Matteo guided the Blues to a win in the FA Cup final against Liverpool, and there was more.

Under the management of Di Matteo, the club became the first London side to ever lift the Champions League trophy after Chelsea beat Bayern Munich in the 2012 final following a penalty shoot-out.

However, Chelsea’s downfall started soon after which ultimately led to Di Matteo’s sacking in just eight months after his appointment.

In this video, The Artur Videos remember Chelsea’s old boss who is often touted to be the ‘greatest caretaker manager of all time' by pundits and commentators.
