That David Silva is an absolute magician on the field is a well-established fact, but what’s taken people aback is not his skills with his feet but his skills with his hands, which he has used to perform various tricks with a Rubiks cube.

If you recall, last year Silva astonished everyone by solving a Rubiks Cube in a mere 16 moves in a video for Manchester City’s YouTube channel. He has now taken that skill a little more than a step further and is now able to pull it out of televisions.

Many probably live by the saying – “Seeing is believing”, but you will probably want to reconsider that for a moment after you watch the little Spaniard, whose unsurprisingly nicknamed Merlin, perform this feat in the video below without breaking a sweat.

The 29-year-old was purchased from Valencia by former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini back in 2010, and took no time in stamping his mark on the team, for which he played a major part in their victorious FA Cup campaign in his debut season.

Silva’s magic also helped City lift two Premier League titles, one League Cup as well as one Community Shield, with his dazzling displays from the midfield, highlighting his importance in the squad in the process. Individual awards have also followed, with Silva being included in the PFA Team of the Year during the 2011/12 season, for his part in City’s Premier League triumph.

The Spain international spent time on the injury list for quite some time due to an ankle injury, during which Manchester City’s form dipped in his absence, but made a comeback in the recent victory over Southampton, providing a promising display.

Here’s hoping that the magic Silva displayed in the video will be surpassed on the field as soon as possible.
