Video: Marseille's Roman Alessandrini scores crazy long range goal against Juventus

Buffon was beaten all-ends-up by Alessandrini’s shot

Gianluigi Buffon is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and has been for many years now. But the World Cup winner was left baffled after conceding a terrific goal from Marseille winger Roman Alessandrini during their pre-season fixture at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille.

The Bianconeri conceded the first goal of the match in the 41st minute, when Alessandrini charged down the right flank and unleashed a vicious curling strike over Buffon’s head, catching the Italian international off his line. The ball went into the net after hitting the underside of the bar, and capped off one of the best efforts of the pre-season.

Juventus lost the friendly 2-0 as they continue to have a mixed pre-season. They had played two friendlies before this matchup, losing to Borussia Dortmund and beating Lechia Gda?sk.

Buffon was beaten all-ends-up by the stunning strike despite being in a decent enough position to stop it, although noone besides Alessandrini knows whether the shot was an intentional one or not.
