Friends turned foes.
Sampdoria footballer Maxi Lopez refused to shake with former teammate and friend Mauro Icardi who was found to have an affair with Lopez’s wife, Wanda Nara who is an Argentine model and vedette. Lopez and Icardi were team-mates at Sampdoria last season before Icardi left the club to join Inter.
In Inter’s away match against Sampdoria yesterday, Lopez snubbed Icardi’s handshake before-kick off leaving the latter hanging.
Although it was Icardi who had the final say from the match after he scored a brace and celebrated in front of his old supporters by holding his hand to his ear. Lopez had a chance to score one himself from the penalty spot, but the chance was saved by Samir Handanovic.
Matters got out of hand when a fight broke between the two teams with players taking sides. Inter ultimately won the match 4-0.
Icardi has been dating Lopez’s ex-wife now, something that Lopez has labelled to be something he has moved on from. However, Lopez had expressed his unhappiness with Icardi posting photographs with Lopez’s three children on Twitter.
