We are not sure if the people of Netherlands are really into magic but one of their star footballers can surely pull off a fancy trick. During the international break last week Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum did something unthinkable during a Netherlands team training session.

From what it looks like Georginio magically conjures a football out of thin air in the video above. Is it some genius video editing or does the Liverpool player really does possess magical abilities? At first glance, what he did just looks like a regular footy trick, but if you look closely, the ball goes over the Dutchman’s right foot and after a left foot dribble he traps the ball and scoops it up with right foot again.

Georginio might have tried to trick us into believing what he did was a skill of wizardry, but we have broken this magician’s code. As Wijnaldum enters the frame we see a ball roll across to his right. Now just as the ball exits the frame we Manchester United defender and fellow Dutchman Daley Blind runs across the bottom of the screen and then you notice a ball at Georgio's feet out of nowhere..which he then kicks away.

What happened? Well, the magical ball was rolling precisely in tandem with Daley Blind at the same pace as he ran across the screen. The ball was not visible because Blind was screening the camera’s view as he ran along.

Sound’s tricky doesn’t it? Just like the ball trick Wijnaldum unexpectedly pulled off. But sadly for the Georginio his first few weeks at Liverpool FC hasn’t exactly been worth the £25 million pounds the club has shelled out for in the summer.

The Dutch international apart from his one assist in the opening game against Arsenal, has been practically invisible in the midfield for Liverpool. Wijnaldum struggled to make any kind of major impact in any of the games he has played in the Premier League. Many Liverpool fans slammed the former Newcastle player for his ineffective performances on the field.

The twenty-five-year-old midfielder was signed by Liverpool in the transfer window after an impressive individual campaign at Newcastle united. The Dutchman scored 11 goals and put in 5 assists in 38 appearances for the Magpies last season. Could Wijnaldum’s signing be a costly error for Liverpool or is the player yet to show his true potential. Time will tell.
