Atletico de Kolkata hosted Delhi Dynamos at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. The game ended 1-1 with goals coming from Atletico de Kolkata's Joffre who scored from the spot and Pavel Elias scored a brilliant goal for Delhi Dynamos from outside the box in the second half to level the game. Atletico de Kolkata remained at the top of the table with seven points from the first three games.

Atletico de Kolkata coach Antonio Lopez Habas was satisfied with his team performance, but also complained about the tight schedule. The Kolkata outfit have played three games in the last seven days.

“I am very satisfied with the performance of my team today. We created many chances, but failed to score a second goal.

“We played against a good team. We had a lot of inconvenience to prepare for the game because some players were really tired as we played on Thursday. Rakesh Masih got a red card."

On asked whether the team missed Borja Fernandez, who was suspended for picking up two yellow cards against North East United. Habas: “We would like to play with the other players available. We are a team and we play as a team."

Atletico de Kolkata skipper Luis Garcia was substituted during half-time, after initial fears of a hamstring injury, but according to the coach Antonio Lopez Habas he should be fit for the next game.

Habas: “He was just a bit tired so we took him off after 45 minutes."

Delhi Dynamos manager Harm van Veldhoven believes his team was unlucky not to get a penalty in the first half for a foul on Alessandro Del Piero.

Harm van Veldhoven: “We were a bit unlucky. I think it was really a penalty for the foul on Del Piero. We didn't get it. We are really disappointed with the referee's decision and of course we had to stand up so we put in an extra striker. We wanted to play football more and more. After that, Pavel Elias scored a beautiful. Atletico de Kolkata were organised and we didn't have too many chances.

“I can live with a point. In Kolkata it's always good to have a point. We really deserved that point."

On asked about marquee signing Alessandro Del Piero performance, Habas told:" I wanted to keep Del Piero on the pitch even if he was tired. We know what he can do from free-kicks. He was not playing his best game. The most important thing is he was doing his job."
