EPL 2016/17: Zlatan Ibrahimovic confronted by lookalike pitch invader

It is not often that players get to meet their doppelgangers. When you're Zlatan Ibrahimovic, however, strange things often happen.

Ibrahimovic was confronted by a star struck fan during Manchester United’s 4-1 win against Leicester City earlier today. The culprit who also happened to be an exact lookalike of the Manchester United striker approached the Swede as he was celebrating United’s 4^th goal.

While most football players may be fazed by pitch invaders, Zlatan remained as cool and composed as ever and dealt with the situation in a remarkably professional manner. Although stewards approached quickly, Zlatan treated the fan with remarkable poise and was not flustered with the meeting at all.

In an attempt to look like his idol, the fan sported the Zlatan trademark ponytail and pencil-thin moustache.

Ibrahimovic pushed the fan away in a friendly manner and he was soon wrestled to the ground by security officials much to the amusement of Zlatan himself.

United dominate against Leicester City

Manchester United, meanwhile, got their season back on track with a convincing 4-1 thrashing of champions Leicester City. Marcus Rashford continued his fine goal scoring run as he netted the Red Devils’ third goal after Juan Mata and Chris Smalling had already put United firmly in the driving seat.

While Ibrahimovic himself failed to get on the scoresheet, world record signing Paul Pogba finally had reason to perform his infamous dab, as he headed home United’s final goal and his first for the Red Devils.

United came into the game on the back of a 3-1 win against Northampton and showed similar form as they destroyed Claudio Ranieri’s men within the first 40 minutes.

The win moves Jose Mourinho’s men up to third in the Premier League but with Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea to play later in the day, their stay might be short lived.

For Leicester, it is back to the drawing board and manager Claudio Ranieri will be particularly worried by his side’s defending after back to back games in which they leaked 4 goals.
