Zlatan Ibrahimovic as good as Neymar and Luis Suarez, feels Gianluca Zambrotta

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is helping Manchester United retain their long lost reputation

Italian legend Zambrotta has said that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is as good as Barcelona footballers Luis Suarez and Neymar. Retiring from his country Sweden after a disappointing Euro 2016 campaign, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been the solution to Manchester United’s goal scoring problems with 3 goals to his name this season.

The Swedish star, who will turn 35 next year, scored on his Premier League debut against AFC Bournemouth and followed up with a home debut goal against Southampton at Old Trafford. Ibrahimovic first found the back of the net for United in his first appearance for the Reds with a stunning volley against Galatasaray in a friendly, before opening the account for the Red Devils in the Community Shield against Premier League holders Leicester City.

Zambrotta shared the dressing room with Ibrahimovic during his two seasons at Juventus between 2004 and 2006. The two of them again reunited in Milan where they lifted the Serie A title in 2011. The Italian World Cup winner who now coaches Delhi Dynamos has nothing but plaudits for his former teammate.

“Wherever Zlatan plays he does very well. He is a winner everywhere he goes,” said the former Italian defender.

“He compares with the best players at the moment like Suarez and Neymar. I played with him twice and he's a good professional and has good motivation. I have always liked him. He is a winner everywhere he goes. He compares with the best players at the moment like Suarez and Neymar.”

Ibrahimovic has won league titles with Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan and PSG, along with scoring in his each of his debuts for the clubs. And if Manchester United carry on their winning streak and go on to win the league, Zlatan will become the first player ever to win the league in five different countries.

Ibrahimovic is now looking forward to his biggest game in a United jersey as they face rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford. Both the teams have a 100 percent record in their first three games and Ibrahimovic will look to carry on his good form while facing former coach Guardiola.
