Max Homa has climbed two positions to ninth in the Official World Golf Ranking following his performance in the 2024 Masters last weekend. Homa had a T3 finish in his fifth appearance at the historic Augusta National Golf Course. The American was in contention for the green jacket throughout the four rounds but was unable to close the gap on Scottie Scheffler's impressive lead.

Homa will now tee off at 10:50 a.m. ET on Thursday, April 18, at the PGA Tour event RBC Heritage. He is paired with Tommy Fleetwood, one of the sleeper picks for the tournament at Harbour Town Golf Links.

In a pre-tournament press conference, Homa talked about his post-Masters endeavors. He celebrated his wife's upcoming birthday late Sunday night (April 14) and drove three hours to Harbour Town.

He made a few calls to keep himself occupied during the drive and thanked DJ Piehowski from No Laying Up with whom he talked for nearly two hours. Homa also said that he reflected on his performance in the Masters.

At the end of the drive, the 33-year-old golfer encountered an unexpected act of kindness.

"I absolutely demolished Chick-Fil-A. A sweet woman paid for it, actually, in the drive-thru line," he said.

The Ryder Cup star further stated that the woman paid for his meal as he was her son's favorite golfer.

"It was cool. I was in the drive-thru by myself and I went to order and the person taking the order told me that the woman in the row next to me had paid for whatever I was going to get. She said that her son is three or four and I'm his favorite golfer, so it was pretty cool," Homa added.

Max Homa said that it was kind and expressed a sense of disbelief at times about the generosity people have shown him simply because he plays golf. Homa also said that he chatted with the woman for about a minute before having his meal.

What is the net worth of Max Homa?

According to the PGA Tour's PIP fund, Max Homa's worth is estimated at $5 million. His net worth is even higher as his total career earnings are $35.8 million from his decade-long career.

Homa recently earned $1.04 million after his splendid finish at the 2024 Masters. In the pre-tournament press conference before 2024 RBC Heritage, he also talked about his performance at the Masters, saying:

"It was fun to wake up for a couple days and think, there’s a pretty decent chance I might be wearing a green jacket on Sunday and to still excel and feel good about my golf. It reinforces that my golf game is good enough. I think most anybody who plays a major, it is. But until you get to feel that, you don’t know."

Max Homa added that there was a sense of relief from the pressure after his performance at the Masters.

"I didn’t change anything about my golf game last week. I just really changed my head and got out of my own way and just played some golf," he stated.

Homa said he was on the right track and emphasized that the crucial aspect for him was mental. The 2024 RBC Heritage is scheduled from April 18, Thursday, to April 21, Sunday.
