Scottie Scheffler and Nelly Korda have recently been creating quite an impact in the world of golf. Nelly Korda picked up her fifth straight win on the LPGA Tour at the 2024 Chevron Championship this week, while Scheffler took home his fourth title in the last five tournaments at the 2024 RBC Heritage.

Both the golfers are currently in a league of their own, catching the eye of other golfers as well as fans from all over the world. After winning the RBC Heritage, Scottie Scheffler took a moment to talk about Nelly Korda's impressive streak.

Many people have compared and applauded both golfers over the last few weeks, with Korda narrowly beating out Scheffler in terms of wins. However, Scheffler has nothing but praise for Korda. Speaking via the PGA Tour, the World No. 1 said:

“One of the people here asked me, like, ‘Is this turning into a competition between you and Nelly?’ and I was like, I don't know, man, I think if it's a competition, she's got me pretty beat right now. Five wins in a row, it's pretty special stuff. To win four times in a row and then show up at a Major championship and win is extremely impressive. So I'm extremely happy for her.”

Scheffler missed out on the streak when he finished second at the Houston Open, which was his only non-win in the last five tournaments.

With her fifth straight win on Tour, Nelly Korda tied Annika Sorenstram's famous record and became the only other player to have won so many times on Tour. Scottie Scheffler too created his own record, becoming the first player since 1985 to win the RBC Heritage one week after winning the Masters.

Speaking about her win and her record, Nelly Korda said via the Washington Post:

“It’s been an amazing feeling these past couple weeks knowing that I can go on this stretch and that if I stay in my bubble and I keep golf in a sense simple and let it flow, then I can have so much fun out here.”

Scottie Scheffler and Nelly Korda have already set their eyes on their next tournaments, and will be aiming to increase their number of season wins.
