Collin Morikawa is optimistic about his game as he heads into the final round of the 2024 RBC Heritage, just two strokes behind the leader. He shot another round of under 70 on Saturday, April 20, to take the third spot on the leaderboard.

During the third round, Morikawa maintained his position in the top 5. He managed four birdies and just one bogey on Saturday, finishing with a total score of under 14.

Following the round, Collin Morikawa opened up about his performance while talking to the media. He said (as quoted by Golf Week):

“This is how I feel like I used to play. That’s what’s great is that you just find a way to score and you find a way to keep yourself near the lead. Webb Simpson told me early on in my career, ‘if you just have a chance with nine holes to go or 18 holes on a Sunday, you’ve done a lot of the work needed.’ Tomorrow is just all about committing to your shots and just remembering that, staying in your own head, not trying to play anyone else’s golf.”

Collin Morikawa last won a PGA Tour event in October 2023 when he clinched the trophy of the Zozo Championship. He registered a fabulous six-stroke victory over Eric Cole and Beau Hossler.
