Conor McGregor reveals grievances over lack of creative control in McGregor Forever

Conor McGregor opened up about his recent Netflix documentary and the creative process behind it and noted that he wasn't entirely thrilled with the result.

While speaking to Ariel Helwani on Matchroom Boxing's YouTube channel, the former two-division UFC champion shared his thoughts on the release of McGregor Forever and revealed that a grievance he had. He mentioned that he loved the story overall, but wasn't happy about not having creative control on his own documentary.

He said:

"I was watching the documentary the other night...I didn't have creative control of it, I'm the creator so I wasn't necessarily happy. I love the story, I wouldn't change it but I would add my magic." [h/t Mirror]

'The Notorious' believes that the he could have added more to the overall product had he been able to use his creativity. He mentioned that doesn't regret the documentary and is still pleased with how it turned out on Netflix, saying:

"And the fact that my adding of the magic was kind of torn away when it was not supposed to be. I felt a bit led into it to be honest. I'm happy with how it went, it is what it is and onwards we go, that's another one." [h/t Mirror]

McGregor provided a glimpse different aspects of being a fighter in terms of dealing with a loss and adversity, which showcased another side of him that fans don't see when he's promoting a fight.

Conor McGregor questions who Francis Ngannou will fight in the PFL

Conor McGregor shares his thoughts on Francis Ngannou joining the PFL on a multi-fight deal that will also see him become the Chairman of PFL Africa.

During the affromentioned interview with Ariel Helwani, the former two-division UFC champion noted that he was happy to see 'The Predator' get a lucrative deal, but questioned who he is going to fight in the PFL. He mentioned that he doesn't believe there is a name that would spark his interest, saying:

"I'm happy for Francis [Ngannou] first of all, fair play...he done his thing. I still think he should've came to a resolution with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Who is he gonna fight? Who is he gonna fight that's gonna capture the general public? There's no one." [15:17 - 15:31]
