ONE middleweight and light heavyweight MMA world champion Anatoly Malykhin turns to music to provide extra pump for him while in training. His playlist is as eclectic as it gets but among the most prominent are tracks from hip-hop superstar Eminem and rock group Linkin Park.
'Sladkiy' talked about in an interview with ONE Championship as he spoke about his martial arts journey. He shared that music has been an important part of his training routine as it provides continuous motivation from the background to get things done.
"I listen to almost everything. I really like Eminem — I train to his music a lot. I used to be into Linkin Park, and I still listen to them sometimes. From Russian artists — I like Grot. And I’m a fan of music from the ’90s in general."

Like the artists he likes to listen to, Anatoly Malykhin has had a lot of success in his chosen path as a martial artist.
In nearly a decade of being a professional MMA fighter, he has lost only once in 15 matches to date. His success has become more pronounced in ONE Championship, which he has been a part of since 2021, and at one point held world titles in three divisions.
Anatoly Malykhin says memories with family remain his most valuable collection
Apart from music, Anatoly Malykhin is also provided with steady inspiration by his family. He said spending time with his wife and son and the memories they create together remain his most valuable collection.
He shared this in the same interview with ONE Championship, highlighting that he is not too big on collecting material stuff but instead channels his time and resources to the people who are dear to him most.
The Russian champion fighter said:
"No, I don’t collect anything like that. I collect memories. Good times with my son, with my wife. That’s what I hold onto. Photos on my phone, moments in my head — to me, that’s the most valuable kind of collection."
Anatoly Malykhin continues to spend time with wife Anita and son Leo as he trains and wait for his next match. He was last in action last November, where he narrowly lost by split decision the ONE heavyweight MMA belt to Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane of Senegal.
