5 Times Brock Lesnar showed us that he has mic skills

The Beast can talk

The legendary status of Brock Lesnar is not something that is up for debate. He has done things that no other wrestler would’ve even dream of. If you are still trying to grasp the gravity of the situation, think about a man that ended the legendary streak of Undertaker, became one of the youngest WWE champions in history, the biggest draw in UFC, and worked in UFC while being contracted to WWE. I could write a whole essay about the achievements of Lesnar but that is not the theme of the list here.

Despite all the achievements, there are people who criticize Lesnar for not being good on the microphone. We are going to list down five instances where Lesnar proved otherwise.

Unfiltered thoughts on Roman Reigns

When WWE put together Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar in a program, one of the major concerns that the fans had was about the promos. Both Reigns and Lesnar were not known to be superstars that pulled off great promos and this was bound to impact the feud, which had a mammoth importance due to the fact that it was going to headline WrestleMania.

However, Lesnar and Reigns did exceed expectations. There was this one segment where WWE made Lesnar give his unfiltered thought on Reigns and Lesnar, not known for his mic skills, gave goosebumps worthy stuff.

Interview with Megan Olivi

Brock Lesnar’s return to the Octagon has been the major talking point for the past few months. Lesnar was set to return to the octagon after a hiatus of nearly 5 years and that too, against a legitimate top 10 heavyweight in the division. This match created a lot of buzz and benefited UFC 200 big time and when Lesnar came out winning the whole thing went to a different level.

Lesnar had a post-fight interview with Megan Olivi where he was bombarded with some intelligent question. And Lesnar to his credit ended up delivering some great answers where he not only gave good insight into the fight but also enlightened us about other things as well.

Promo on Goldberg after loss to Eddie Guerrero

The match between Eddie Guerrero and Brock Lesnar was a classic. Eddie crafted a great underdog story ahead of WrestleMania XX and Lesnar losing the title was an iconic moment as well. Days after losing the title, Lesnar would appear on SmackDown to deliver a great promo.

He started by saying how much the championship meant for him. Lesnar showed off glimpses of his emotional side during this promo and then transitioned into an intense one against Goldberg. We might overlook the Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar match due to the disaster that it was, but this promo is perhaps a high point in this feud.

The Bud Light and apology

Brock Lesnar has done some smart things during his career and he has done some stupid things as well. One of the things that fell into the latter category was his shot at Bud Light. Lesnar, after his fight at UFC 100, went on to say that he is drinking Coors beers that night instead of Budlight as Budlight was not paying him anything.

However, as Budlight was one of the major sponsors for UFC, Lesnar was made to apologize in the post-fight press conference. The way in which Lesnar took the shot at Budlight and then covered it up was funny. Also, it shows that Lesnar can handle such situations with his words.

Promo on Chris Benoit and John Cena

Ever wondered why you cannot find it anywhere WWE related? Well, the answers to this question is: Chris Benoit. WWE erasing Chris Benoit from its archives and history has taken away some awesome moments including this great promo from Brock Lesnar. Lesnar pulled this promo off after both Benoit and Cena had a dispute about winning a battle royal.

The winner of the battle royal was supposed to face Lesnar so this made Lesnar interfere in the situation. He gave out a great promo on the week that followed the battle royal and showed that he was a champion that knew how to talk as well.
