The Kayano series is for the distance and marathon runners. Asics GEL-Kayano 22 weighs 309g. This shoe is perfect for neutral and mild over-pronators. Like the earlier generation, we again see simple styling for the Kayano 22. The support levels are great and you shall experience a snug fit with these running shoes.

Regarding the upper, we see an engineered mesh upper that offers unmatched levels of breathability. FluidFit upper stretches in multiple directions and provides a snug fit. Independently placed eyelets disperse the lace tension evenly. Expect amazing levels of comfort with these running shoes. The heel area has a two-layer mesh upper that offers good fit and Asics calls it as Personalized Heel Fit (PHF).

This Asics standard technology offers additional cushioning and the anti-bacterial properties of the sock-liner keeps the odor and moisture levels to the minimum. The midsole of Kayano 22 is fantastic. In the rearfoot and forefoot area, we see GEL cushioning system (Asics standard). This revolutionary silicone-based cushioning system offers supreme shock absorption on impact and is highly flexible. There is more to the midsole, the forefoot cushioning system is gender specific and has a layer of Solyte cushioning on the top for additional comfort.

For smoother transitions, we have IGS (Impact Guidance System) as well as a Guidance line. Dynamic DuoMax Support System in the midsole offers great support and aids in reducing over pronation.
