A move that requires agility and proper use of reflexes, Toe Touch is one of the main weapons in the arsenal of U Mumba captain Anup Kumar. He goes into the other half while raiding, and keeps an eye on the position of the players. Once he has decided the player to tag and take a point off, he bends down and stretches his leg very quickly and touches the opponent with his toe and takes a point. The move has become so popular that every time Anup Kumar goes to raid, the opponents expect a toe touch, but the Arjuna awardee pulls it off more often than not.

#2 Frog Jump

Frog Jump is a move popularised by Dabang Delhi’s Kashiling Adake. The youngster, has had a very successful first season, which he followed up by a spectacular start to the second season. He is known for his athleticism in the field, which has helped him garner many points. But his most famous move is the Frog Jump.

This jump is appropriately named as the raider uses his legs to leap as high as he can just like a frog uses his rear legs. This move enables the raider to jump over the onrushing defenders and also can help one escape despite the opponents circling the raider.

#3 Ankle Hold

One of the best ways to trip somebody is to hold their ankle and this particular move is the favourite of a lot of the defenders in Pro Kabaddi. Crouching like a Lion waiting for its prey to look away, the defender wrap their hands swiftly around the raiders' ankles and root him to the spot. Ankle Hold is very well illustrated by Dabang Delhi captain Ravinder Pahal and Telugu Titans' teenage sensation Sandeep Kandola. A variation of this move is the double ankle hold which sees the defenders hold both the raiders' ankles.

#4 Dubki

Dubki seems like a relatively simple move, but the execution requires tremendous agility. It is a move for the raiders and generally used when more than one defender is charging towards the attacker.

If a raider sees a group of defenders trying to corner him/her while forming a chain with their hands, the player bends down to get his body below the defenders’ hands and sneak through to his/her half while winning a couple of points for his team.

Dabang Delhi’s Rohit Kumar Chaudhari executed this to perfection against Telugu Titans this season while Manjeet Chhillar and Shabeer Bapu are also famous for this manoeuvre.

#5 Scorpion Kick

Scorpion Kick is a move that is often used by Jaipur Pink Panther’s Jasvir Singh. The move has helped him collect many points for his team. Jaipur Pink Panthers, the winners of the inaugural Star Sports Pro Kabaddi, have the smiling assassin to thank for their brilliant performance in the first season and Jasvir Singh uses the kick quite well.

The raider goes into the opponent’s field and takes a proper look at the position of the players, and decides his move accordingly. He keeps moving fast and does not stay still, often changing his position, which confuses the defenders. He then pretends to touch the player right in front of him, but kicks the person behind him instead.
