Even just playing at Lord’s gives goosebumps to players and taking a five wicket haul there is a dream come true for most bowlers. In the second ODI match of the NatWest Challange, Brett Lee broke the spine of the English middle-order claiming five middle and lower middle order batsmen. He took five wickets at the expense of 41 runs in his 10 overs. All five were well-recognized batsmen.

It was the sixth game of DLF Cup being played in Malaysia and the wicket was good to bat on, but surprisingly it was a low-scoring match. Australia were restricted to only 213 by the Indians and it should had been an easy chase for India. But the Australians were not ready to give in. They held their nerves and won the game by 13 runs. Leading the way for Australia was Brett Lee who took 5 wickets including one of in-form Sachin Tendulkar. Brett Lee gave away just 38 runs in his 8.5 over to pick up 5 wickets.

Brett Lee was always relied upon by Australian captains for wickets whenever necessary. He was always capable to taking wickets. It was second Test match of the series in 2008, Australians hung 479 on board. West Indies in reply were going good until Brett Lee entered the fray with full force. He broke the partnership between Chanderpaul and Bravo and then cleaned up Ramdin and Sammy as well. He finished things off with a five wicket haul.

In the fourth game of the VB series in 2006 at Melbourne, Australia managed to score a competitive total of 245. Brett Lee destroyed the South African run chase with his five-wicket haul. He dismissed Graeme Smith, Boeta Dippenaar, Andrew Hall, Ashwell Prince and Justin Kemp. In his quota of 10 overs, he gave away only 22 runs.
