India ended Day 2 of the third Test against Sri Lanka at 292/8. Cheteshawar Pujara’s brilliant unbeaten knock of 135 helped the visitors recover after a shaky start and along with Amit Mishra, who scored 59, helped India gain the upper hand in the series decider. Resuming at 50/2, India lost skipper Virat Kohli early on before Dhammika Prasad picked up the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Stuart Binny in successive deliveries to press home the advantage for the hosts.
