Roger Federer, the 17-time Grand Slam champion, made his debut in the Coca-Cola IPTL in front of a packed stadium in Delhi.
The Indian Aces faced the Singapore Slammers in the first match of Day 2 of the Indian leg. Federer won his mixed doubles and men’s doubles sets with Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna respectively. He played his third consecutive set against Tomas Berdych, and managed to beat the Czech 6-4 to round off an impressive debut.
After the set, Federer was ready to celebrate. And with Gael Monfils in the camp, Federer was assured of a classic celebration.
