Roger Federer moved into the third round without much discomfort

17-time Grand Slam champion and second seed Roger Federer moved into the third round of Wimbledon 2015, after beating Sam Querrey of United States 6-4 6-4 6-2 in the second round on Thursday.

The first set saw both players win 4 of their first 8 service games apiece before the Swiss ace took the decisive break in the ninth game, to take the 5-4 lead nd then progressed to win the set on his serve to take a one-set-to-love lead.

The 33-year-old Federer began the second set by breaking his American opponent in the opening game itself and then further building on that lead. Querrey though tried to pull it back by winning his service games, but once again, just when it mattered the most, Federer took the key lead by breaking his opponent in the seventh game and also playing some unbelievable shots,in the process, to take a 5-2 lead.

With that break in serve, the second set also became a mere formality as the seven-time Wimbledon champion won the set 6-2 to take a two-set lead.

The third set saw an equally dominant performance from Federer as he sweeped past his opponent with same margin as the second set to progress through to the third round of the competition.

Final Scoreline- Roger Federer(SWI) beat Sam Querrey(USA) 6-4 6-4 6-2
