John Cena injured?

John Cena

John Cena defeated Brock Lesnar in a memorable, grisly, and barbaric contest last night at the Extreme Rules pay per view in Chicago. Cena stood tall defiantly against a ruthless, maniacal and charged up Lesnar, who had ridiculed the notion of a ‘superstar’ and vowed to ‘legitimize’ the entire WWE. The match left both men seeping out a lot of blood and throughout the match each man needed medical attention a few times.

Now reports have emerged that the match may have done Cena more harm than expected. According to the WWE locker room physician, Dr. Chris Amann,” The most obvious injury was the laceration to his head, which caused a substantial amount of bleeding. He also has suffered a shoulder injury. Initial testing in the training room leads me to believe t here may be torn muscles, possibly a torn rotator cuff or a biceps muscle.”

Cena was treated for his injuries during the match, but they didn’t abate. It appears that it will take more than one night for the nagging injuries to heal. Cena, who was cheered by the live crowd for his incredible performance after initially being booed, told the crowd that he was ‘going away for a while’ and ‘taking a vacation’.

What does this mean for the WWE? How will they be able to cope without their biggest star. Also, when will Cena finally come back?
